Get creative for Food Fortnight!

Local businesses, organisations and community groups are being invited to take part in this year’s Food Fortnight – West Norfolk’s food festival with a difference. The ever-popular event, taking place from 1st November till 16th November, is a celebration of all things food in West Norfolk.

West Norfolk’s coastal area has a thriving food industry with an array of top restaurants, tearooms and tourist attractions.  “Food Fortnight is a great way for local businesses and community groups to promote what they do best to the wider community,” explained Gill Daniels, Food Fortnight Project Co-ordinator. “Last year over 100 organisations from across West Norfolk took part in Food Fortnight and we really want to beat this in 2008!” Gill added.

Events can be as big or small as people are able to arrange, as long as there is a food connection – the more creative the better! There is no charge involved and by participating you will benefit from being part of a well established and widely publicised community project.

Anyone wishing to be involved in this exciting community festival please email food.fortnight@west-norfolk.gov.uk or telephone Gill Daniels, Project Co-ordinator on 01553 679438. Further details can also be found on www.foodfortnight.co.uk

The copy deadline for events to be included in the brochure is the end of July.

Food Fortnight is funded by the West Norfolk Partnership.
