A small amount of
local resistance to the High St webcam has put the idea of a
second webcam on hold as another suitable location has not been
identified to date. In addition, since installation in
September 2006, the North Beach Webcam unfortunately encountered
a number of problems and thus funds raised to date have been
reserved to meet costs of maintaining this webcam or to aid
purchasing a better webcam to replace the existing one. To date
no decisions have been made either way. In the event that these
funds are not required to improve/replace the original webcam
then it is likely that a second webcam will be placed on the
roof of the RNLI Station at Hunstanton in the absence of any
better ideas.
