Yarmouth Coastguard requested that Hunstanton RNLI launch the Lifeboat as they had had a 999 report of an inflatable dinghy with two persons on board being blown out to sea off Hunstanton. On arrival at the scene the lifeboat crew found that a member of the family had waded out and was dragging the inflatable towards the shore. Our lifeboat stood by until the inflatable and the two persons on board (a male adult and a female child) were safely ashore and in the care of the Hunstanton Coastguard Mobile Team. |

At the request of Yarmouth Coastguard, the
Hunstanton RNLI Lifeboat was launched just before 8.00pm to
investigate a report of a powerboat drifting out to sea off Heacham
beach with two persons on board. On arrival at the scene the
lifeboat found that the powerboat had been taken into tow by a jet
ski. The lifeboat stood by until the casualty had been landed
safely on the beach. |

Hunstanton RNLI hovercraft was launched at the request of Yarmouth Coastguard to assist in the evacuation of an injured crew member of a yacht near Brancaster, who was reported to have suffered a broken leg. On arrival at the scene it was confirmed that yacht had made Brancaster harbour and that the casualty had been transferred to the East Anglian Air Ambulance. The hovercraft returned to the Station without further incident. |

At 19.05 hours Yarmouth Coastguard requested the launch of Hunstanton RNLI lifeboat as an upturned dinghy had been seen drifting down the river out to sea. On arrival at the scene the boat had been recovered by others, and it was confirmed that no persons were involved. The Police, Fire Brigade and Police Helicopter were also in attendance. |

At 3.38pm on Monday 20th
April Yarmouth Coastguard requested that Hunstanton RNLI launch the
Hovercraft to assist in the search for a missing person.
Police were concerned for her safety as she had been missing since
last night. Her car had been found in the cliff top car park.
Our hovercraft was launched and assisted the police search teams.
The Police helicopter was also in attendance. No further
details available. |

| Our Hovercraft was launched on Saturday 11th April – to assist two persons (and a car) reported to be in difficulty at Thornham having been caught out by the high tide. Soon after launch it was reported that the persons in difficulty had been led to safety so our Hovercraft returned to base. |

Yarmouth Coastguard requested the launch of our
Hovercraft to assist a Kite Surfer reported to be in difficulty off
Hunstanton opposite the pier area. On arrival at the scene the
Hunstanton Coastguard response team informed Yarmouth Coastguard
that the casualty had managed to get ashore and did not require
further assistance. Our Hovercraft was stood down and returned to
station at 1520 hrs. It is understood that the casualty was a 61year

Just before midnight on Wednesday 11th March, Yarmouth Coast Guard requested a launch to investigate a report of persons taking a boat from moorings and drifting down river from Kings Lynn. H-007 was launched on service and searched the area and found a boat high and dry and footprints on mud indicating that persons had left the craft. H-007 searched the area. Hunstanton Coast Guard mobile and the police were also searching in case persons were cut off on the marsh. The boat was believed to have been taken unlawfully. No persons were located and Yarmouth CG stood H-007 down at 01:20hrs. |

Yarmouth Coast Guard requested launch to kite surfer in trouble off
Old Hunstanton. Lifeboat launched at 1203 hrs wind direction
S.W. 3-4 on arrival at scene. Casualty was being towed ashore
by another surfer. RNLI crew member entered the water to
assist the casualty to the beach. The casualty was suffering
from hypothermia and was given oxygen by the crew member and he was
transfered to the Coast Guard mobile unit and brought to the
Boathouse to await attendance by the paramedic. Casualty was
assessed and checked by the Air Ambulance and it was decided that he
could wait until the ambulance arrived to take him to the QE
Hospital at Kings Lynn for further checks. It was thought the
casualty would be ok. |
