Throughout February 2009
Norfolk Libraries will be asking you to take a little time out from the
stresses and strains of modern life and asking you to think about your
health and wellbeing. Hunstanton Library is celebrating Love your
library Week from 2nd-7th February, and we have some special events
planned to get you thinking about your health and wellbeing.
Come along on Tuesday 3rd February from 11-12noon and discover
more about holistic therapies with Debra and Paula from Hunstanton's
Crystal Cave
Join us for a Heritage Walk around the town on Friday 6th February
with John Maiden of Hunstanton's Civic SocietyMeet at 10.30am
at the library. Walk should take approximately 90 mins. All welcome.
We have a wide range of books on all aspects of health and fitness
(including the Book Prescription Scheme), and can also provide
links to the best websites. The Internet is free to use at all Norfolk
Libraries. We also run regular tasters for those who would like to learn
more about using the Internet. Did you know that just as physical
activity keeps your body strong, mental activity keeps your mind sharp
and agile? One way to do this is to continually challenge yourself by
learning new skills. So whether you are thinking of taking up a new
hobby, improving your English and maths skills or learning a language,
then we'll be able to help you find a book or a course to help.
